I'm looking for a plugin or a way to set up my server where anyone can join my server but only people on a list (whitelist or otherwise) can build, while anyone that joins that isn't on the list can only chat and walk around. Is there anyway to do that?
Is there an easy way to do it? My friend is the experienced one and he said the only way to do that is to make a list where i have to add each person that wants to join seperately, instead of just have people free-join.
Yes, permissions is the easy way AFAIK. If your friend is the experienced one, he/she should have no problem setting up the YML file.
