What is a really good permissions pluin currently I have permissionsex but I was just wondering if there were like advanced permissions plugins that give you more control of what a player can and can't do.
Can't go wrong with PermissionsEx, however if you're looking for a simpler more basic one that suits your advanced plugins all in all then you are looking at groupmanager. I do recommend PermissionsEx, you can do much more with it in-game and for me is generally a better plugin.
True but I didn't mean advanced plugins I meant advanced permissions plugin for more control over what the group or players can do like maybe give certain players certain permissions not just the groups.

Ok look guys I have permissions ex I just want a diffrent permissions plugin that allows you to give certain players certain permissions not just their group like say I didn't want a certain admin to do /plugins I would give him specificaly - -bukkit.command.plugin and the other admins can do /plugins still. If you would just stop being so selfish, you would have known by now that PermissionsEX is the most advanced plugin available today, and has all the features that you ask for. Read their wiki.

I know what I'm talking about. I've probably used Pex longer than you. That link includes complete nonsense. I stopped reading when I saw the first line.
So mbaxter authored complete nonsense... I see. I'll stop here so this doesn't get into a huge flame war (you could express yourself a little nicer, personal attacks are against the forum rules btw ) and the thread gets locked, so I probs won't reply to what ya gonna answer.
I've been using PEX for over a year now, and I've never had any issues with it, that's why I said it's nonsense. In my opinion PermissionsEX is still the better plugin system out there, and as of now, the only thing that (you say) is broken is: PermissionsEX has (almost) never crashed for me, I'm not using MySQL, and I don't even know what a cyclical inheritance is. Yes, PermissionsEX hasn't been publically updated, nor have there been dev builds for almost 3 months, but look at the bright side too. Its performance is great, there is MySQL support, the in-game commands are easy to use, and it's (in my opinion) easy to setup. Also, your information about the superperms is wrong, as stated here (First line under "Current Features"). I still appreciate your response and hard work on the post tho.
Oh gosh, why did you ask this question... PEx, bPerms, GM they're all good its just the owners preference to their skill, experience and handle of the plugin. I think we should lock this thread to prevent further flaming.
You seem to be countering data with an anecdote. Plenty of people will use pex without issue, because their specific server setup allows for it. That doesn't negate my points
Locked. This flame fest gets to end now. If anyone wishes to counter the PEX document with facts, I'm certain mbaxter will update it. Until that happens "I don't have problems with it" is not an adequate counter argument.
