(GM) Star Permission not Working?

Just put on Essentials GM and, as always it comes with its default permissions; the star permission with owners. But, I cannot do permissions like /ess reload or /setspawn, I can only do them if I give the essentials.setspawn permission manually to the Owner Group; is there a new change I dont know about?

It randomly fixed itself; but still, some knowledge on why it did this would be helpful if it does it again.
