Giving effects without notification?

    I have a number of items on my (bukkit) server that apply status effects by running commands as a superuser (via Craftbook). When they do this, they tell the player things like "Gave so-and-so BLAH effect for BLAH long".
    I want them to... Not do that.
    Any suggestions?

    You need a small plugin, bukkit got a nice api for that.
