Hello fellow server-owners. A LOT of people running a non-dedicated server have been receiving a "disconnect.genericReason" problem. Little is still understood about it and even this fix itself may only help a majority of you guys/girls. In my case, my conclusion was to allow to the server starter.bat to take up more RAM. I did this by: 1. Right-click the .bat file and click "edit" it should look something like this: Note: This ALL depends on your file location, java, etc. 2. The area underlined in red is where you will have to do the editing. What you must change is the 5G part. Default is usually set at 3G but you could keep adding more on until your friends no longer crash! Try not adding too much RAM as the RAM is coming from YOUR computer. I hope this works for the majority of you and.... Happy Minecrafting!
Moved to the correct forum. Adding more RAM doesn't help people getting disconnected unless your server is already RAM starved.
