    Tribu - A zombie survival game !

    Currently looking for translators please contact me by PM if your language is not already translated or not fully translated.

    What is it ?
    Tribu is a zombie survival game in which you can set zombie spawns. Zombies will appear wave by wave once the game is started. You have to kill them! Each kill will get you money and points, and with the money you can buy items to kill more zombies. The game will stop when everyone is dead.

    Can you make it support iConomy so it can easily be combined with other plugins, such as being able to open doors with the points you gain and the MysteryBox plugin?

    Let the plugin started with ServerExclusive false, then, if a player enter the game, it will start, others can join. If all leave the game, it will stop

    You reply realy fast I like that alot!

    Q: i run iconomy, dos this conflict with the money you urn in the arena?
    Like: i have 6000 money i can buy food before i urn it in the arena?

    Q2: can i set it like if you die the game is over for you? (for the player that is dead?)
    Like set spawn outside the arena?

    This plugin use it's own money system so it should not conflict, and even if you have a lot a money in iConomy, you have nothing at level start in this plugin.

    You can set the death spawn where you want ! In a jail if you want or outside the arena, because there is no arena for the plugin. You place spawns where you want, if you have created an arena, place spawns in the arena and the death spawn outside.

    And i save it and still my player can not build in the world :S
    Permissions? what do i forget?

    OW.... umm why is it that is i start a game ALL player in my server get teleported to the arena?!
    i did NOT know that!

    You have to add or comment out and change the lines:

          ServerExclusive: false
    in your config.yml.


    @Graindcafe: Maybe its better too set the ServerExclusive to false per default ?

    Yes, maybe, but I set it "true" by default because the plugin was not designed to run at non-exclusive, because some functionality are missing (mobs removal at game start)
    If you have correctly reload your server (/reload or restart) it's because of the bug (looks at known issue), load a level (not start it, just load) should resolve this. The next release will fix that.

    Line starting by "#" are comments, so you have to do what dbwiesel has said, and what you seem to have already done

    Looks awesome. I'll be installing this soon for our server. I just need to figure out how to keep the players from sitting at the zombies spawn and spawn kill all of them. I think i'll have the zombies drop down from a ledge. That may work. Have it like world at war and ZombieCraft

    Put several spawns, if they wait a zombie to spawn in front of them, one will appears on their back !

    Hey could you post a list of all known items? because it wont let me buy anything off mine except for torches, and if you click 2 times in a row on a unknown item, it charges you for it

    @Inquisitor35: The problem with the charge for unknown items will be fixed in the next version (readable in the changelog)

    And for the names of the items have a look in your items.db file. There are the names of the items listed. And if the name is made of 2 parts (e.g.: the second word ist starting with a capital letter like: IronSword) then put the 2 words on seperate lines, so it looks like this:

    Even if you can't read java, you should recognize items names.


    Maybe in the v0.5, perhaps I will make a sign that converts my money to iConomy's one.

    This is an AMAZING plugin. I'm recreating the Call of Duty: World at War zombie map packs with this. A few key features I would like to request though are:
    - Perks
    - Zombies that can break barriers
    - Doors that cost money
    - Mystery Box
    - Guns

    ^^ Adding any/all of those features would be more amazing :)

    Set ServerExclusive to false

    Doors that cost money will be added in the next release
    Zombies that can break barriers can be done with Zombie Attack

    Hey Btw it would be neat if you could integrate your plugin with Armageddon or something to have new weapons.... or possibly the Mystery Box/Zombie Attack plugins too :) Surely I'm not the only one that wants these things :)

    Oh and forgive me if I'm just being stupid, but when I got the plugin and tried to use it, no one could build except me. And the commands didn't work (I guess because I was in a different world?) Heh I guess there is no MWS yet my bad.

    I apologize for asking for so many things but this might help you solve a possible bug.

    If I just put in the snapshot jar file and reload the server, everything works (except no one can build on the world). You said this is because ServerExclusive needs to be set to false. I did that. Then when I reload the plugins/server people can build. Unfortunately, when I try to do "/tribu enter" and "/tribu start (level)" it no longer works. It teleports me to the initial spawn and says "Zombie Mode Enabled" "An internal error has occurred while attempting to perform this command." Is this because it is on a separate world? Sometimes the plugin doesn't even register when I modify the config file. I tried editing the config file in so many ways. First I uncommented the default one. No luck. Then I used the one posted on here that's already uncommented. Still, setting ServerExclusive to false returns with an error when I try to start the game (even after "entering"). And "/tribu enter" doesn't say anything when I issue the command. Is that where the issue lies? Should it say "Level (levelname) entered!" or something? Last thing I noticed that was odd was, when I save the level (with ServerExclusive disabled) it seems to work, but when checking in the "tribu" folder, there seems to be no levels saved. Doing the same thing with ServerExclusive enabled DOES save a .lvl file there.

    There is no problem with helping you ;-)

    Can you give me the error that occurs when you tried to start the game ?
    You said that something was in a separate level, what was it ? You, the whole level, the initial spawn ?

    If you create a level but don't set anything, it says you that the level is saved but it's false. The system check for a modification and save it if there is one, but if you don't set any spawn, no modification is made so it don't save anything.

    I'm here to help you when want, I try to answer as soon as possible, so don't hesitate ;)

    I'm hard-working on the future version which - I hope - will be come in soon ! There will be a lot of changes and bug fixes, maybe the one you have will be fixed (but it's the first time I hear about a such bug)

    Hah okay thanks. Well basically the only issue I am having, is it says "Zombie Mode Enabled" but nothing else when I start the game. The waves don't start. Everything else seems to be fine for the most part though. Basically, when I don't edit the configuration file, the waves start. When I DO edit the configuration file (uncommenting the # PluginMode:
    # ServerExclusive: false) the waves DON'T start :/

    Also, if someone tries to enter the game before starting, it returns with the error (on game start): "An internal error has occurred while attempting to perform this command". No zombies ever spawn/no waves ever start when I edit the config file. All that happens is it says "Zombie Mode Enabled". When I do "/tribu stop" it says something like "You reached wave 1" or something like that (telling me how far I have gotten before I lost even though the waves never started/spawned zombies)

    Another issue that seems to be occurring is, when I uncomment the default config file, the plugin doesn't seem to register (I type "/plugins" and it isn't on the list). Could you possibly send me a config file that should work with ServerExclusive set to false? :)

    I have a question. I have a huge room that is unlit and monsters spawn. If i create a level in this room will the other monsters be part of the game? or will I have to light up the whole room? Is there a way to make other mobs not spawn?

    In fact the only issue you have is to getting an error when you try to enter the game. In this version you should enter the game before start it. If you don't do this, the game will try to start but will stop right here because there is no players. So it's logical that you don't see any zombies. The v0.3 is not oriented to turn in "non-exclusive" mode, the v0.4 is, it's why I tell you that maybe you will not have issue with the next release.

    Can you give me the log when you tried to enter ? (If there is "An internal error occurred..." you should have something into the console)

    Your config file have a problem, it should have a space after ":" and there is not at "TeleportPlayers:false" (should be "TeleportPlayers: false" ). It's probably why you don't see the plugin (as an error in the config file stop the loading of the plugin).

    The link is not gone ..

    It depends on your config, if it's set "ServerExclusive: true" then, all monsters (in the server) will be killed, (except wolves so that your pet don't get killed ^^ ) . On the other hand, if it's set to false, then, no monster will be killed and they will be here when the game start and they don't give you money.
