    So wait,

    In a mod whose only purpose to create NPCs that you interact with, the "create NPC" command is broken and will be fixed in the next update?

    Thats a good, solid fail.

    It isn't completely broken. Some people experienced it while others did not. fullwall has completely eliminated any possibility of it.

    Oh, and by the way, please cut the attitude. Citizens doesn't allow rude behavior in a thread that has a purpose of helping people. Your comment was not criticism at all. It was ignorant and simply uncalled for.

    The original npc name was "uQuest" it wasnt 15 charectors and it killed my server terribly i have never seen a plugin do it that bad. and I know this plugin works fine with my others

    Maybe this isn't a problem created by citizens

    Listen up everyone who has this problem with the 'error'
    Check if your permissions isn't outdated!
    Mine was, now i've updated it and TADA it magically worked again!

    Sorry, if repost - the thread is too long, to search for info.

    So, the question is: when any of bots is on the map, its impossible to skip the night, because bots should be sleeping too. The game counts them as players, i guess. Is there any way to fix it, without adding plugins like "skip the night, even if someone is not in bed" etc? Maybe you'll add a command that makes them dissapear at night, when the sleeping is possible?

    You've got a whole subfolder for traders. Are traders working now? The wiki says they're still a future feature.

    Don't know if this has been addressed but it doesn't look like I can select an NPC once I have given them text it just gives me the text. I am also seeing the problem with being unable to skip the night.

    Just to get on my soap box. These guys work hours coding this stuff in their free time for probably no money yet people complain they are too slow. If you have sent them some cash for their trouble you might have a right to complain otherwise you should just be thankful they are doing this at all!

    I understand your encouragement to keep the thread clean and such,but I can understand what some people are feeling right now.I'm not really an avid user of Citizens,although some users use it extensively.And some have gotten impatient regarding the Traders/Guards/Quests dilemma.I think some people just feel kinda lied to about the *Coming Soon* deal.You can't really blame them for being a bit fed-up with slow development.But thats uncontrolled by Fullwall since his recent absence.I don't know,I think we'd all just like things to pick up a bit.

    That post that you responded to is from the very first page. I think he has figured that out by now. :p


    I completely understand why some of you feel like you've been lied to, but the post I responded to was simply uncalled for. I don't mind the occasional "ETA?!?!?!" post, but seeing posts that belittle Citizens in an ignorant manner are quite annoying. Not only did he insult the plugin, but he also failed to do research on the fact that the bug wasn't present for everyone. Those types of comments are unneeded and unwelcome in this thread. However, posts inquiring about the release of guards/traders/etc. are only natural if it has been in the title for the past 2 months.

    actually i think its been a bit longer than 2 months but either way.
    speaking of ETAs is there any news at all on the development of this mod?
    i just want to make sure that this plugin isn't at a standstill as far as development goes. (no actual ETA needed)

    hey guys, not sure if this will help, whenever I try to do /npc create text I get an error. This is the first time I've installed it so I can't say if it has worked before.

    I'm not sure what might be causing it, but I'm getting some severe lag with 25+ npcs.

    Is this a documented issue?

    I'm not seeing any errors in the console, but myself and everyone else connected lag like no tomorrow.

    Can you fix the sleeping first? Just force npcs dissapear when its possible to sleep, and apear, when night is skipped?

    After you make a pathfinding it'll be cool to add feature, so bots can be locked to desired bed, and will go sleep by foot, without dissapearing.

    I understand, that adding traders and stuff is quite necessary, but sleep problem is a kind of problem, which stops players from using the plugin.

    The test for traders went well, about ~90% completed (just some last bugs to kill). Opening inventory screen, commands, all worked well. No more need for testers.

    OK, I'm not having much luck finding this... but how can I change the selection tool. Think it was stated that by default it is 280, a stick? Well, BigBrother uses a stick, and I would like to select a different item. I'm looking in the Citizens.settings (I'm guessing this is the mentioned 'config' file), but I do not see any value to change. Am I looking in the wrong location, or do I need to add a line?


    Where? Where is this ID line in the config file?

    Nevermind... it seems your .jar file doesn't quite create all the files... and the actual 'full length' config file is only found in the .zip download.
     
  30. Hi, I keep getting an internal server error when I try to make an NPC.

    I type:
    /npc create bob
    It says:
    "An internal error has occurred while attempting to perform this action."

    I'm not an OP, but I do have the latest permissions plugin and I have the following permissions:

    - 'citizens.basic.create'
    - 'citizens.help'

    I've even tried:
    - 'citizens.*'

    Nada :(

    For everyone getting that error DOWNLOAD THIS VERSION OF THE PLUGIN:
    http://forums.bukkit.org/attachments/citizens-zip.2887 replace your citizens and it should work fine.

    PLEASE DON"T POST COMMENTS REPLYING TO THIS SO OTHERS CAN FIND THIS EASIER IF THEY ARE HAVING THE SAME ISSUE
