    His wiki clearly states that that is not possible and that it is a limitation of minecraft, not the plugin.. So I don't think that's possible..

    can anyone help me? when i run citizens on my server i recieve this string of warnings

    you porbably say wich Bukkitversion you'r running because Citizens isn't updated yet for MC 1.5 ;(

    actually guys I named one of my NPC's 'Noober' and he got a custom skin as soon as he spawned :/

    oh I get it. minecraft skin database apparently does that.

    Well I know the plugin devs are working hard to get the newest version ready for use. Again I would like to offer FINANCIAL HELP if they are willing to push to get the quest part done soon. I will say this again, I know they are working hard on getting the version ready but I will PAY for their time and effort to get the quests part of the plugin finished.

    I want to release my server to the public only AFTER it is finished with the preset quests, and I know that the majority of the players will start joining servers during summer break. This takes place in about a month, so if MONEY can help at all, I am willing to NEGOTIATE.

    I have a build of Citizens on my computer, complete with quests AND traders. I'm debating whether to release it or not, as @fullwall has stated that he will update this as soon as he can....

    I bought a Server and it has been sitting on my desk for 3 months now waiting for a final release of the quest part of the NPCs. I bought the server to run as an RPG and have been waiting for that feature. Without it, there is no use for an RPG server.

    Second RB is out now, 740.

    The forked patch linked in a previous post is working for me. It throws errors (null pointer) on NPC creation and on server boot up, but the NPCs function as they did before. One oddity is that the /help menus are all borked from the chat color syntax change, so they have random letters spread throughout the text. Still readable though.

    So, using the patch is a good temporary fix for those of us running 740 servers that are still waiting on official update (and guards!).

    I got the plugin installed, but I CANNOT spawn any NPCs...
    I got the latest Plugin Version, and the latest Bukkit version...

    With all due respect, why are you not releasing this? NPCx is abandonware and I would really like to revert back to Citizens (especially if you have quests and traders, but even if not) for my NPC plugin.

    I just installed this and "internal error"....please update my players will thank you.

    Please just release a 1.7i and hold off on features until 2.o is ready. We just wants our NPCs like they were standing back on the server. I have a HUGE room for all of my donors and it's now empty. They don't need to talk or move or anything, just stand there with the names and skins intact. Any update at all would be awesome. Thanks.

    The temporary release build resets the NPCs I create whenever I restart the server.

    I like the plugin but the fact that it seems to hack the player object/class to get them in seems like it would cause problems. Well, it sort of has for me in log parsing. Each NPC gets a "has logged in for the first time" message in the log as well as a player data entry in the player folder.

    Well, the build I have would also have some unfinished trader stuff in. If I get enough votes I will release it anyway, just bear that in mind.

    I VOTE! RELEASE! My server has a big tutorial at the beginning, with multiple npcs, and we can't get new members without the npcs! If you aren't going to release for a while, would it be possible for you to pm me a link or something?

    I vote to release. People that are passionate about having the most updated software available to their players will keep on top of what's going on for each and every plugin they have.

    SO, i wouldn't worry about it being a formal release or anything, just name it an "RC" (release candidate) depending on how much is developed.
