  2. I agree with above :) I tried npcx, downloaded mysql, made a root password,a n npcx account on the database and what not and it still didnt work .. so I saw this one and its simple and works.. however it does need trader/guard/quest support to make it a whole lot better.

    Except for the new flatfile-format and having to convert by HAND almost 100 NPC's ..... still love the plugin.
    I just removed every single NPC I had and remake them, way to painful changing formats.
    Though, I agree. the change was needed for several instances of the same NPC to be allowed to exist without killing all of them when just removing one.
    Really love the new right-click to select-system.

    Is there any chance to Iconomy could be added to the traders? I think many people would like that:D

    My NPCs dont speak when you hit them. I have to enable talk when close which gets annoying. Was hoping to have multiple npcs close to eachother but looks like it isnt an option :/

    I'm running the latest build ofcraftbukkit and the latest build of this as well.

    Fullwall, Thank you for having an adversion to MySQL. For simple game players going the extra mile to setup a server for people to play on, MySQL is a PAIN IN THE ASS MESS to set up. Keep up the good work.

    @airsoftinva,you have to change your settings file. there is a line 'item', it chooses with witch item you can make npc's talk. If you put * players will be able to talk to npc by right clicking no matter what they have in hand.

    I'd rather see guards than traders at the moment. This is because my players can make their own shops and just the thought of having guards protecting a town from evil mobs sounds so much better to me than traders.

    So I don't understand how to get them to talk, I have text set on my NPC but it just says "You selected NPC [Ralph], ID [0]. The only way to get him to talk is the proximity thing. Is there any way to make them shops/traders?

    How about the first part of my post? How do I get it so you right click to get the text, instead of the ID?

    Open the citizens.settings config file in a text file, and adjust the Item ID of what you want to be used for what.

    Not quite what I am asking. I know how to select him and what-not, but how do you make it so right-clicking him doesn't just give the ID but says the text you set?

    Ok, I looked around the wiki and didnt see any description of how the NPCs work, so I figured I'd just ask.

    1. Do they walk around, or are they stationary?
    2. Do they (currently) aggro mobs, most especially creepers?
    3. Anyone know if theres a list of skins by acct. name that are made for the NPC mods out there?

    They are stationary right now and I don't see them (the ones in my server) causing any aggro. I too am looking for that list as I need survivor-esque skins but needing real character names might ruin that :p

    In the config file, the selection ID is set as * which means all items equipped will cause the NPC to become selected.
    You can change this to a specific, such as 0 for bare-hands etc.

    Sorry if I wasn't clear the first time.

    EDIT: You can also change what item must be equipped to display text, the default is 340, a book.

    I've been having a strange issue were when i install the multiverse one with multiverse it locks up my server and sends me this
