    Description:
Open a player's inventory as a chest and interact with it in real time.
Access to the inventory and armor slots.
Open any chest that has blocks on top (blocked chests) with AnyChest.
Open a chest silently (without chest animation nor sound) with SilentChest.
Open any player's EnderChest from a command.
Drop item as another player (by putting it in the 5 unused slots in openinv)!

    How to use:
Install: Copy to your plugins folder, and restart/reload your server.

    Use:
    Use command "/openinv <player>" to open a player's inventory
Use command "/toggleopeninv" to toggle Item openinv:
    Code:
Hit a player with an item of your choice (STICK by default), and you will open the player's inventory (no damage)
Right click the air with the item opens the last opened inventory (toggle must be ON)
Use command "/anychest" to toggle anychest (blocked chest bypass)
Use command "/silentchest" to toggle silent chest
    Use command "/openender <Player>" to open a player's enderchest
Use command "/searchinv <Item> [MinimalAmount]" list all players having a certain item in their inventory.

    Code:
To use a sign for quick access (this uses the normal Openinv.openinv permissions, override and exempt applies), You need:
"[openinv]" (without quotes) on the 1st line
and the player's name on the other lines.

    Permissions nodes (CaSe SeNsItIvE):
"OpenInv.openinv" gives permission to use OpenInv
"OpenInv.openself" Allows opening the inventory of the command user
"OpenInv.editinv" - Allows editing of inventory

"OpenInv.openender" - Allows opening of EnderChests
"OpenInv.openenderall" - Allows opening of EnderChests of everybody. Without this permission, someone can only open his own enderchest.
"OpenInv.editender" - Allows editing of enderchest

"OpenInv.search" gives permission to use searchinv
    "OpenInv.crossworld" allows cross-world openinv.
"OpenInv.exempt" makes the player's inventory protected (unable to be opened)
"OpenInv.override" gives permission to open anyone's inventory, even protected ones
"OpenInv.anychest" gives permission to open chests that are blocked by a block on top.
"OpenInv.silent" gives permission to open chests in total silence, without animation.
    (without quotes)

    Features:
    • Read-only permissions for OpenInv and OpenEnder! Just don't give the editinv and editender permissions nodes!
    • Administrators can modify any user's inventory contents as they wish, in real time.
    • Access it anywhere! No distance or obstacle limitations.

I wouldn't say its.. that big of a deal I mean like.. Its even better to remove like lava buckets out of inventorys and think they got it, and when they put it in their chest its gonne. They will be like.. What the fuck I just had it in my inventory lolXD

How do I change which item is used by default? OpenInv doesn't seem to be creating a config or plugins/OpenInv directory. Using CB 1185 and OpenInv 1.5.2

    Digitalsabre

You never, ever mention what property to change to identify the item of choice. Also, a default configuration file is not created. After digging in the code, is it OpenInv.ItemOpenInvItemID in openinv.yaml?

Yeah, I have to make a config guide after im done working on my other plugin.

Noticed that name tags were removed on the header of the chest UI, was this intentional? Because I liked having it to make sure I was in the right persons inventory.

    lishid

Well, since minecraft now only lets inventory names with 26 characters or less to be sent, I have to either make sure the name is less or put something else (in which case I put Player Inventory).
I could make it cut in the middle of the name if it's more than 26(EDIT: 16)...?

Is it possible to just truncate the name?

I also have this problem. Not just when I trade but when I drop something and the other player picks it up. They must leave and rejoin to get the item.

    Thanks

I have this problem as well. Whenever you open someones inventory, it wont update at all unless they rejoin.

Confirming a display issue. He said it came back when he right-click on something (not sure what). I was also using Essentials /invsee so that might be another facet to this issue. Not sure about the guys above.

    Hi there!

I can see this mod having a huge potential as a "thievery" mod.

How hard would it be to add some extra coding so that you need to be 1-2 blocks away from a player and have a delay before you take an item out of his/her inventory? Also to open an inventory you should be required to right click with your empty hand on the person. If you can manage that, then I can see this mod being implemented in many servers to introduce PvP real-time stealing.

Let me know what you think!

Wonderful update, offline openinv, but maybe have it so it doesn't need to be exact for the offline/online players?

for the armor slots, what you could do is make it where the armor slots are in a small chest interface and you have to type /openarm [player] to access it.

Please add permission node to only take from inventory or only to put in.
And can you add logs of items manipulations?

I saw that you it says "players inventory" and not "chest".
So, can you make a plugin where you can name chests, or does it exist already?

how would i open up someone's inventory if they have a space in there name like: bill bob - instead of billbob

  27. Offline

    Ribesg

Developers do not have to support cracked versions of Minecraft.
Tell your bill bob to buy the game.

@lishid This is a good plugin but there is still a bug. If you /openinv an online player, his inventory becomes buggy. Picked-up, /give-ed or crafted items do not appear in his inventory anymore. He has to disconnect/reconnect to fix his inventory.
