Hi, I used to host a dedicated server for friends to play on with CentOS, but turned it off after the computer was running and no one was playing. Some want to play from time to time and although I loved playing around with Linux, I think it might be easier to move the serve to my W7 (8GB RAM) computer and just run the server when someone wants to play. the w7 computer is my primary desktop and it would be the server and client as well. Would I experience a performance hit if I ran this way for casual play?
