Friend Unable to Login on Server

My girlfriend is unable to log in on my server. As far as I know, I have done everything done correctly. She thinks the issue is due the fact that she is in Finland, and I am in the United States. Could this be an issue, what could other issues be?

 

What steps have you taken to setup your server?

 

Port forwarding is probably the issue. As said above, please mention the steps you taken to set this up. Also mention whether you have a wired or wireless router.

 

Also make sure she's using the correct IP address. If it looks like 192.168.x.x that's the WRONG one.

 

Port forwarding is set up correctly I believe, as I've had a technition friend help me out with this. I am able to log in fine with the IP I have listed, however, nobody else is able to.

Entered my IP address in my browser, set up a Minecraft port forwarding resulting in the 25565 port. Attempted to have people log in on server. Router is wireless.

I would recomend you using like 4-8$ and buy a hosted minecraft server.

is she the only one who can't connect to your server?
or are you the only one who can play on your server?

 

Better use hamachi, than portforwarding.
