Force Render Distance

Suggested name: ForceRenderDistance

What I want: It certain areas only I need a plugin that forces a render distance.

Or more advanced: From my spawn point, the player is forced to see X amount of blocks up, and X amount of blocks each direction. (Preferable this one)

Ideas for commands: /fdr reload (Reloads the config)

Ideas for permissions: fdr.dontforce (Doesn't force the render distance.

When I'd like it by: Before 1.4 is released. (October 21st?)

 

Hmm... This could be achieved with the blindness effect!

 

@Gunnerrrrr, There is no way to force a set render distance, as it's set client-side. The blindness effect is an option, but it can be ignored with some mods, like OptiFine.

 

And some people would lag like a lemon!

Everything is possible, the server could send only the blocks you want to see, by overriding the chunk and map packets.

 

I believe the OP meant forcing a fog distance, not preventing blocks from spawning until you got near......
