is the "server-ip=" node empty? Because if you enter an invalid ip your sever will give u a similar error.
Yes i have read that, and yes the "'server-ip=" node is empty . This is the server log : Code: 2012-02-26 22:08:14 [INFO] Starting minecraft server version 1.1 2012-02-26 22:08:14 [INFO] Loading properties 2012-02-26 22:08:14 [INFO] Starting Minecraft server on *:25565 2012-02-26 22:08:14 [WARNING] **** FAILED TO BIND TO PORT! 2012-02-26 22:08:14 [WARNING] The exception was: java.net.BindException: Cannot assign requested address: JVM_Bind 2012-02-26 22:08:14 [WARNING] Perhaps a server is already running on that port? 2012-02-26 22:08:15 [SEVERE] java.lang.NullPointerException 2012-02-26 22:08:15 [SEVERE] at net.minecraft.server.MinecraftServer.b(MinecraftServer.java:569) 2012-02-26 22:08:15 [SEVERE] at net.minecraft.server.MinecraftServer.run(MinecraftServer.java:441) 2012-02-26 22:08:15 [SEVERE] at net.minecraft.server.ThreadServerApplication.run(SourceFile:465) 2012-02-26 22:08:15 [SEVERE] Unexpected exception java.lang.NullPointerException at net.minecraft.server.MinecraftServer.b(MinecraftServer.java:569) at net.minecraft.server.MinecraftServer.run(MinecraftServer.java:441) at net.minecraft.server.ThreadServerApplication.run(SourceFile:465) 2012-02-26 22:08:16 [INFO] Stopping server 2012-02-26 22:08:16 [SEVERE] java.lang.IndexOutOfBoundsException: Index: 0, Size: 0 2012-02-26 22:08:16 [SEVERE] at java.util.ArrayList.rangeCheck(Unknown Source) 2012-02-26 22:08:16 [SEVERE] at java.util.ArrayList.get(Unknown Source) 2012-02-26 22:08:16 [SEVERE] at net.minecraft.server.MinecraftServer.stop(MinecraftServer.java:394) 2012-02-26 22:08:16 [SEVERE] at net.minecraft.server.MinecraftServer.run(MinecraftServer.java:465) 2012-02-26 22:08:16 [SEVERE] at net.minecraft.server.ThreadServerApplication.run(SourceFile:465)
bump. I'm having the same problem, and as Kartal did, have tried everything I've seen on other web pages. There is nothing helpful out there. I really hope someone can solve this soon.
... to the person who posted this thread in the first place! I needed my port forwarding to work and I had my router IP in the properties! Thanks for telling me this! How could I have overlooked that ? I wish I could help YOU now
EDIT 1:your [sever errors] is 50% caused by outdated sever u realised your sever is outdated n u need to enter ur forwarded exturnal ip in the "sever ip=" and if it still doesnt work turn "online mode" to off
