ok so when i first run the "RUN.bat" this is what came on: [WARNING] ******failed to bind to port******* [WARNING] the exception was: java.net.bindexception: adress already in use: JUM_bind [WARNING] perhaps a server is already in use? that is word for word (there are some stuff above that that "start up" the world, but then it says ERROR and then above. if anyone can tell me what it means that it is in use? and how to find it and take it away? thanx!!
-Hit Ctrl Alt Delete/RunTask Manager. Look for any programs called java.exe or javaw.exe, if you find any stop the process/hit delete. - Open the server.properties file, if you're portforwarded use your Internal IP (Start - Run - CMD - IPconfig) on the IP section.
Did you specify an IP in the server.properties? If so remove that, it's supposed to be blank in 98% of cases.

I got the same error but... the server-ip is blank i have no other servers all is correct except for the error. its so fricking frustrating. the only way it works is if i put in the ip
Why don't you just use an other port? Just change this value in the server.properties and you will be fine: Code: server-port=25565 to e.g. server-port=25678 Than just log in with: Code: xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx:25678 or localhost:25678

PORT FORWARDING MAKES ME ANGRY,SAD, And DEPRESSED
Try the task manager by right clicking on the clock at the bottom right of your monitor and left clicking Start Task Manager and "End Task/Process" on any Java.exe or javaw.exe.
this can also happen if you have your ports forwarded to the wrong internal ipaddress and or mistakenly put the wrong value in your properties file.
ok i did all this and the server started in the command prompt but when i try to connect to my server its gives me this " Failed to connect to the server Connection timed out:connect " please help!!
