FAILED to Bind Port! Perhaps another server is running on that Port?

I am trying to run my tekkit server with my fowarded ip and for some reason... It was working like 4 months ago... When i started a server for my friends..
NOW it says its in use? How can i use it on my tekkit server instead of my other one?
Please help!

 

You need to completely kill it.

Im not sure what kind of server/device it's running on so i cant say the command.

Ok well i'm not pro at this so il tell you what i would do.

After you login via ssh, before you go to the actual mc console type "shutdown -r now" which will reboot.

type "shutdown -r now" in console? If so... Didnt work, unknown command

 

Do you use putty for connection to your server?

 

oh and what i mean by "In use" i mean i get this in the console:
20:32:54 [WARNING] **** FAILED TO BIND TO PORT!

20:32:54 [WARNING] Perhaps a server is already running on that port?

I've uesd this Ip for my other server like 6 months ago
But i deleted it
so ya

I home host.
I use my Extrenal ip... Well thats what i used on my server along time ago

i use just the CMD that like every home host uses?

 

If it still does not work, go to the server.properties and look for:

online-mode=true

Turn it to false, try starting your server, then if for some reason it loads properly turn online-mode=true.

In you local firewall is the server allowed? You have allowed the port in you Firewall?

What im trying to get across is that,
I have port Forwarded,
I have had a different server up for a long time,
I deleted it,
But Its still in use?

 

Try Portforwarding again leave server-ip Blank in server.prop file or delete Tekkit server files then redownload them

 

Wait,Try using an other port BUT if you are using your public IP make it has to because your Interal IP.
