    In order to centralize support of our legacy projects, we will no longer be providing support on Bukkit. Please use for support with our projects going forward.

    So, I got Spout to use with mcMMO... and it doesn't appear to be adding the little nuances it's supposed to.

    I've got the Spoutlauncher, there are no errors or anything, but there aren't GUI pop-ups for level ups as there should be. Just the normal text at the bottom left.

    Any clues?

    mcMMO hasn't released GUI support yet, it's just achievement type windows for now.

    mcmmo is only meant to give you an achievement when you level up that is all it is meant to do for now the rest is on his todo list that he will no doubt do as soon as sprout has support for it.

    Yes, they have and always have had popup notifications just as what @theblackveil was asking for.

    Sorry for the confusion, that's what I'm talking about.

    Spout and mcMMO both say that an achievement-y type pop-up should come up when you level up..

    .. what I'm saying is that it's not. Even though I'm running both. :?

    Edit: Yes, SpoutDev is right. :p

    Any hints on what I'm doing wrong to prevent the pop-ups from appearing?

    Are you sure? Because the Dev has said to me the GUI is not ready yet, unless hes talking about the achievement windows?

    mcmmo popups work for me.

    Req: allow anon/guest feature requests on github?

    1.Add worldedit's pink selection block addon please (I'm sure a LOT of admins use WE)

    2. Earlier (like 900 pages ago) you guys said you'd look into adding the "convenient inventory" mod into spoutcraft client, any luck/progress?

    Other than that, thanks for all the hard work and especially the craftproxy'ish compression/cache (does it cache? please make it if not XD) optimization. Default MC uses WAAAAAAY to much bandwidth for no good reason.

    will the client side mod be ever be able to put into the jar instead of going threw the launcher for offline server?

    well if your running an offline server you don't use a login, so you can't use the launcher when using the plugin for client side. unlike the Bukkit contribution plugin you can use the mod loader to install the files into the jar, allowing offline server's to still be able to use the benefits.

    if this is suppose to be an updated version of it, the launcher is a replacement for the inserted files that go in the jar so that the client and server can communicate.

    im really tired, so i don't know if i explained it well enough.

    edit: also bukki and spout can't run along side each other...

    Are you open for suggesstions? I think yes, so here are my ideas:

    1. The ability to copy texts, that are in Minecraft (with Strg + C)

    2. Ability for Client Chat-Channels... for example "Help" and "Normal", that you can change in client, so that you only read help messages, if you have help open (by clicking a button in the chat). But the control sould be by the server with uses herochat... Do you understand what i meen? I hope...

    3. The Ability to read your IConomy Money in the inventory...

    4. A costum chat size. Sometimes I want making the chat smaller but the remnant should be in the exemp size... SO only making the chat smaller or bigger... Like Gui-Scale only with the chat!

    5. The ability to mute people taht are spamming me with messages. So a muting-system for the client, not for the server!

    6. Server-settet inventory-size. The ability to edit the Inventory-size with the server-plugin

    7. Totorial-windows, controlled by the server. That you can open a new window in minecraft, just like inventory, with any button (for expample "T") and you get a scrollable message, set by the server. With this it would be easier to help new members.

    8. News-windows, controlled by the server. That you can open a window like in "7." with is the news window...
    The news-window showes you the news oft the server (in the chat nobody notice it). ANd that ou have the option, that the wondow is shown on the start.

    9. Rules-window, i think you know what i meen. ^^

    10. Link-sending. The ability to send someone a URL in minecraft... ANd by clicking it the persons computer open his standart-brower and open the website.

    At the moment this was it...

    @SpoutDev : Is there any way to patch with Kahr's HD Patcher? When i choose the minecraft.jar in .spoutcraft HD Textures becomes grayed-out.

    Hmm, not sure I like the idea of a separate launcher for SpoutCraft. Sure, it keeps your existing Minecraft clean, but some people may not want to have multiple copies hanging around. I'd prefer a version build as an SSP mod that doesn't break other mods... perhaps something to look into, as surely this is the preferable way of doing things. At the moment, all this does is enable a bunch of stuff in your client and on the server, but also cuts out using a whole bunch of other stuff in SSP. Be nicer to have a dynamic client that can do both without using different launchers. I look forward to you guys taking this a whole lot further, because the potential is certainly there, and it'd be a shame to only achieve a fraction of what you could do. I'll be keeping an eye on this one, but for me, its not at a stage I can use it at yet. Good luck!

    if we connect to a same world with different clients doing different things with different mods, that would be really weird and confusing for players, and for server obviously... my community used bukkitcontrib on the client side and today we may think to eventualy remove all your stuff because it's not standard thing in minecraft world, and we wont be able to change our client just to use mcmmo, then change again to see the ICKSlope mod works in the same world, for example...

    im so sad because we all like the mods that works with your plugin : mcmmo, backpack and more... we may have to choose between your mod and all the others, and the way you make this plugin now will divide the community instead of grouping, it's a shame, in my opinion... The better way would be to do this works as a regular plugin, like bukkitcontrib did before.

    anyway, thanks a lot for your efforts, although changing the way your plugin doesn't seem to be good for me, I must admit that bukkitcontrib / spout is a gem of programming !

    With Spout my players immediately get EndOfStream error after joining the server. They are able to dig blocks and use commands (but won't see the effects on their side), and after a short while they get disconnected. When they rejoin the server they see the changes they made. (For example they use /spawn command, nothing happens, but when they rejoin they are in spawn, or when they dig block they wont see the drop until rejoin)

    There are no errors in console besides the EndOfStream ones.
    This issue was not present in BukkitContrib.

    Spout already has HD support. modifying the .spoutcraft jar is not recommended.

    According to your log you are using a dev snapshot of Spout, try using the one mentioned in the original post?

    So, I deleted my Spout folder in my plug-ins for my server.

    Re-downloaded and set up the SpoutCraft Launcher.

    And still no pop-ups upon reloading/restarting the server (twice, once to re-create the Spout files, then again).

    Any clues? Sorry there aren't any errors, I realize this must seem quite vague, but all it's doing is.. well, nothing.
  25. Wait so will there be a way to put it in the orginal minecraft like a mod? Cos running this client is really slow for all my users and it isn't as practical. I thin kthis plugin could go a lot further in that fashion, and i know some people don't trust entering their password in a separate client :S Thanks.

    Where did you put the launcher? The spout plugin goes in your server. And the launcher you run like the minecraft vanilla launcher

    Spout breaks most mods, we are working on the new API, which means that you will not install it like a normal plugin, instead it will be in a separate folder like the plugins folder for craftbukkit

    The Launcher is in its own, entirely separate folder on my Desktop. And I run the *.bat I made for it from within that folder.

    No pop-upsies. :(

    Is there a special Mac version? Because me brother has the newest java and is having epic startup problems / in game lag problems.

    @SpoutDev @alta189 : After installing spout server and client and logging on my server, changing blocks with WE doesn't work until the block is right/leftclicked. Is this a bug? If yes, are you working on it (it's QUITE annoying) If no, wtf?
