Well, i don't know if you have already found out but if you repeat the command /time night (Of a lot of plugins eg. Essentials) very often (With Spout as keybinding) the Moon seems to walk / and change between the cycles very fast giving a crazy walkin moon - effect. Not a very efficient idea, but the reaction of my players are great . This is maybe a good idea for existing timechange plugins to do something like /time crazymoon or whatever.. I would create a lil plugin aswell but i have not yet figured out how to set up the bukkit dev environment so .. its just an idea =). Concirning the switching with keybinding and essentials, there was no big performance break ... and i guess doin this complete serverside won't do any different...
