Custom potion name

Hey guys!

I am trying to find a way to easily display buffs that my plugin is giving the players. Then I thought of potion effects. If I were able to manipulate the name of a potion effect then I vould show the time left on a buff and I could display all buffs currently active on the player.

Now here is my question; is it possible to change the name or is the name predefined in the client?

I have looked through NMS and so far it seems as if the name is only for the client to know what potioneffect it is, for instance: "potion.fireResistance" but I was hoping that you could trick the client somehow!

You could use lore to set it's custom potion name.

And just change the effects of how the potion works.
