A new CraftBukkit Recommended Build (1.0.1-R1) with Minecraft 1.0.1 support is now available. This build contains some API additions, but is mostly a stable Minecraft 1.0.1 compatible CraftBukkit. We'll most likely have another RB in the near future with new things for developers to play with.

As always, please backup your server before updating, just in case. Please note: for those of you who are considering generating a new world for Minecraft 1.0.1, one of the newer snapshot builds for Minecraft contains tweaks to the world generator that could mean you may have to regenerate your world or only new chunks will see the tweaks in effect.

Will plugins break with this build?
Provided the developers of the plugins you are using are keeping up with the development of Bukkit, all your plugins should work fine.

For more detailed information on what is contained in this update, please see the Recommended Build announcement thread here:

So um, does this mean we should label our threads with [1.0.1-R1] instead of [1597]?

Why would you use [1.0.1-R1]? The build number is #1597.

Also; good work guys! Should quiet down the complainers :)

Thanks! One question tho, will be there CraftBukkit for weekly dev snapshots? There suppose to be some changes in terrain generator and I don't want to start fresh world (our server is waiting for wipe) when there is chance, terrain generated now wouldn't fit into newer terrain generator. Now I'm talking about Taiga biomes that are back in 11w48a

Thanks for reply from anyone, who know more about this.

Bukkit will never release a RB for the weekly snapshots - only for when Minecraft updates globally.
You can, however, find a list of their most successful builds here:
    http://ci.bukkit.org/job/dev-CraftBukkit/
Which may include some development builds which are updated for future snapshot versions.
