A new CraftBukkit Beta Build (1.3.2-R0.1) that provides Minecraft 1.3.2 compatibility and includes experimental changes that hopefully improve performance and stability is now available. Please only use this build if you'd like to help us get a new Recommended Build out and don't mind running a preview build to help us test things. If you were running the previous Beta build, please update to this one as it includes some important fixes.

Will plugins break with this build?
Provided the developers of the plugins you are using are keeping up with the development of Bukkit, all your plugins should work fine.

    What is a Beta Build?
A Beta Build is in between a developer build and a Recommended Build. These builds simply work and are promoted much more frequently than a Recommended Build. While we will do some testing before promoting a beta build, we will not be running it through our extensive test process. As such, there are no guarantees that they will not contain minor bugs. If we do find out they are broken, we will mark it as such on DLB and promote a new one. A beta build may contain incomplete API and new features but they should not interfere with running the build in any way.

Notable fixes from Minecraft 1.3.2 include:
+ Added sideways logs in trees
    * Fixed a bug that caused players to fall out of the world when going into the Nether
    * Fixed a bug that caused random suffocation damage in water

For more detailed information on what is contained in this update, please see the changelog here.

Its funny how you guys know when the updates are coming... I guess its very simple because half of you work for Mojang! haha

    What are you on about?

I have a problem with this build:
When a player joins he is teleported to some random location and falls out of the world.

    Here you go:

Actually not the complete craftbukkit team is working for Mojang now, and the main Craftbukkit team (@Wesley Wolfe @Travis Watkins @feildmaster) is only working for Craftbukkit, so they do not exactly now when the next build comes out.

Well, that's kind of good news, except that the download isn't working :(

There isn't a RB out for 1.3.2, Craftbukkit is open source so get the code here and feel free do code your own RB of 1.3.2 x.X

Jesus do you really not get it?
    Here how it works:
DEV --> Craftbukkit version with the latest changes on the code [UNTESTED]
BETA --> Craftbukkit version with big changes on the code [NOT FULLY TESTED]
RB --> Combined all changes from DEV/BETA version in one [TESTED]

So a RB will be out if the bukkit team tested it enough and approved it as stable. You can use the BETA version for 1.3.2 it should be fine and most plugins wont have any problems with it.

    Any solution?

I mean, its interesting that they were hired to Mojang, so now they know when the updates are coming out, so craftbukkit can be updated right on time! :)

TnT - downloads are working. Clear your cache/etc. Seems isolated to your system.

That sounds very much like a plugin issue. Try replicating it without any plugins except the one used to teleport you to a random location. Also, please use the Bukkit Help forums for assistance.

    I don't have a plugin to teleport to a random location :/

Quick test: Remove all plugins, see what happens.

Ok I will test that later when there are no players on my server!

I have found exploit. With latest dev build and this beta commands of AuthMe or xAuth being logged. So, we clearly can see user's passwords

    [INFO] Player123 issued server command: /login 123345

Is there any possibility how to fix this? Thanks.

Not an exploit, its just how xAuth works. You're already pretty exposed to exploits already without having online-mode=true, and this issue is only a concern if you have server admins who cannot be trusted.

We realize there are exploits inherent in online networking. All the same, it is Bukkit's ethical responsibility to minimize the opportunities for such exploitation whenever possible.

Perhaps you cannot change xAuth, but is it possible to script an option to hide the password or the xAuth messages entirely?

Falling back on the platitude "you have nothing to be afraid of unlesss.....[insert unavoidable scenario here]" is not a defence of this glaring vulnerability. Not one that would hold much water in court, as it were.

But that's beside the point and outside the scope of our problem. Theoretically, we could select admins who would never use or abuse this information for personal gain. Realistically, no. Just no.

xAuth is inherently insecure. While it may be possible for xAuth to hide these messages, you'll still be vulnerable.

If you truly care about security, you can use online-mode=true.

So this isn't a problem for legit servers? Any reason why a legit server might be using xAuth or AuthME?
  28. Offline

The reason those plugins exist is for when the Authentication servers go down. That used to be a legitimate concern back when the auth servers would go down once or twice a day. That is not longer a major concern now that Mojang's auth servers stay available.

wow every1 is saying this is a great build.. none of the bukkit builds are great. they all lag like hell and they all have plugin errors. i removed all my plugins. still lag :/ its the craft bukkit. i really don't know what you guys did since 1.2.5 but put it back to the way it was. what ever you guys did mine craft is slower than ever and any1 cant run their server because of the lag. i shouldn't have to downgrade my minecraft to play without any errors or lag. what ever you guys tried to do with 1.3.1 is messed up and all these builds are not fixing the main problem. THE LAG!

Sorry to say, it's just you that suck.
Have no performance-issues with 1.3.1 R2 ( and 1.3.2 ) myself with around 35 plugins and 20-40 players on an "old" server.
