"Core file"

There is a core file in my root directory, i have no idea what it is.
However its a massive file, that seems to come from no where.
What is this?

The biggest file in your server folder should be craftbukkit.jar, or that "core" file should be created by a plugin or similar.

 

I am running linux
It just says core.
Its 800,500,100 Bytes

Its a few hundred times larger then craftbukkit

 

Its a core dump from a crash. If you don't plan on debugging the JVM you can delete it.

 

Never mind, I figured out what it was.
