Conundrum? Why can't I Connect to my bukkit server? Iv tried everything!

So i'm id say a novice at Servers and other thing but I thought id give it a shot, I'v gotten this far and have hit a block,
I cannot connect to my bukkit server, The message reads you have lost connection like a millisecond after I hit the Connect button, but my server is running the box says it is on and I can type and say stuff on the Server window for bukkit, I have my internal ip in the server properties, I had my firewall off and on and it still does the same for both, i tried using the normal Minecraft server you get on Minecraft.net and that works bukkit doesn't tho, my IP to get in the server is 75.106.171.206:25565 I use that to get into the normal server and it works but when I use it for bukkit I get connection lost, and Iv also tried local host and it also doesn't work, iv forwarded my port and have it confirmed as open on several different port finding websites, Iv asked many different people what to do and they don't know,

so I'm asking all of you to help me out please !!!
