Problem/Bug Connection timeout to localhost

Hi,

I'm on Mac OS 10.14.6, running spiggot 1.14.4 and minecraft 1.14.4.

I've started the server and launcher with -Djava.net.preferIPv4Stack=true. I can see the server running on port 25565. I'm able to telnet to it.

When I open minecraft -> multiplayer -> direct connect, it times out. I tried both localhost and 127.0.0.1.

I don't see any connection refused or acknowledgements on the server logs.

I was able to connect to another minecraft server that wasn't running locally.

Any ideas how I should proceed?

Sometimes direct connect tends to be trippy. Try adding it to your list and then connecting. If that doesn't help, try using your local ip with and without the port when the server is added to your list.
