I built a bukkit server and now I can't seem to connect to the server on the public IP address. I have been constantly trying with canyouseeme.org and such, but I can't get it up and running for friends. Can someone help or know what is wrong? Thank you.

Please paste your server.properties. What does canyouseeme.org tell you?

    You need to portforward then

Z369C Well, at least you don't have your IP in server.properties. Usually that's an issue (not for your friends but for you). I suggest port-forwarding, indeed. Something is blocking it, either your router or your computer's firewall.

I think it would be something for the firewall because I did port forward the router. I'll see if I can fix it.

Z369C Could you screenshot the page with the port-forward? Just so I can verify it's done correctly ;)

  8. Set the ip in server.properties to the computers local ip.
Set the router to point/forward at that lokal ip at the port defined server.properties.
Check firewalls. Is your internet provider giving you a firewall accessible via their webpage?
