Can someone please just quickly test this server IP for me? 124.179.245.14:25565 I've set up a server, but I can only connect using it's local IP adress. I'm not sure if it's a problem with my server or just me being in the same network. I'll be online for a bit, but if you can or can't connect, can you post a message in this forum? Thanks guys.
You won't be able to use that, becuase it isn't actually a server host. You will be able to connect if you are on the same network, but to run a server for others you should use Hamachi or get a dedicated server host to host your server
Probably a problem with port forwarding. Check www.canyouseeme.org and see if it shows that your port is open for 25565 (do this while the server is running) Don't listen to ImminentFate you can run a server on your computer just fine (I do)
I know that this is a noob question, but how does port forwarding help? I know it's set up on that port cause bukkit says it is, and that's the local connection port. How does port forwarding help?
