Coloured Chat names

Used for essential chat but the name was still white even when i changed the colors
Default: '&e[{GROUP}]&7 {DISPLAYNAME}:&f {MESSAGE}'
Builder: '&2[{GROUP}]&7 {DISPLAYNAME}:&f {MESSAGE}'
Moderator: '&5[{GROUP}]&7 {DISPLAYNAME}:&f {MESSAGE}'
Admins: '&c[{GROUP}]&7 {DISPLAYNAME}:&f {MESSAGE}'
Owner: '&4[{GROUP}]&7 {DISPLAYNAME}:&f {MESSAGE}'

 

i dont see this anywhere.

 

Because it didn't work so did a fresh essentials.

factions may override prefix, disable it, retest, if it works, reenable factions, put [FACTIONS] in essentialschat format.

 

I disabled it nochange still the names are coming up as white

 

then you arent in any of the listed groups.

 

Posted user.yml,groups.yml and the essentials config.yml anyone know why it isn't working?

 

set regular format, if this works, then you arent in any of the given groups with formats. if not, you have another chat plugin overriding.

 

I can give you tv acess if you want and you can see what is causing the issue

limited access computer, so cant. i could try join your server to get some data out of your error, though.

 

can't i haven't port forwarded so it won't work and i can't be bothered to port-forward bit late atm also i change it from default to Member but its just like [Member]namehere

wait, so the {GROUP} tag works, then? something else is stripping colors off essentials chat format then.

 

I make that prefix myself everything after [Member] is white when i want coloured

 

as i said, il need to get more info out of the server, so do as i said with normal format.
