    Permissions 3.0
Rcjrrcjr has been working quite hard on this upgrade to Permissions. However, it currently still suffers from a number of bugs. The most important of these which directly affects HeroChat is the non-functioning of prefixes and suffixes. There are less-than-pretty workarounds, but I'm refraining from fully supporting an update until Permissions 3.1 is released which should include a number of significant bug fixes. When this does occur, however, I have a build ready for you guys that should work. You can download it here. Again, I highly suggest not using this until Permissions 3.1 is released unless you really don't care about prefixes and such.

See you when I get back!

Is your config resetting when you make changes?
If you make changes to the config while the server is running, you need to use the /ch reload command to make the changes stick. I wish this message wasn't necessary, but people only seem to read things in big, bold, red text (if at all).

Have a problem? a feature request? Go here.
HeroChat now has its very own redmine found here. If you have an issue or would like to suggest a new feature, I urge you to file it via redmine. I will be checking this much more often than this thread from here on out.

also, updated to GroupManager (mimics permissions and works just like it), same problem too so either its something only herochat is complaining about in my config for permissions or its something else.

Permissions is dead, look into Group Manager

This will not load in 432. It gives an error, and then bukkit won't load my other plugins. I removed it, so I don't remember the actually error, but it was the 1st to try and load so ... (Tried with default settings)
I don't need this, and if you do want to fix it, take your time. Not like we are paying you for this. lol

Based on the error it looks like something went wrong with your users.yml. Could you post your config.yml and users.yml on pastebin? Also, are you getting the same error on CB 432? I'm only going to provide official support for issues on recommended builds from now on.

General notice: I'll be releasing an update that adds support for GroupManager shortly.

Updated to add GroupManager support. If you already have Permissions 2.0 working, you don't need to migrate, as HeroChat still supports Permissions for now, but I recommend you do so in the near future.

This has been tested on the current recommended build of CB (432).

    Hi,

I'm on #437 and after every reload or restart, Herochat makes a new default config.

    Edit:
Solved: Only edit the config, if the server is offline ;(

  13. Offline

    DThielke

If you edit the config while the server is running, a /ch reload should load the changes.

    Next thing ;)

I want the healthbar only for my members, in iChat it was easy.
In permissions config I do: prefix: '+healthbar+&e'

With herochat prefix: '{healthbar}&e' don't work, nothing in front of the membername.
    default-message-format: '{prefix}{player}{suffix}: '

Just wondering, but is the group prefix/suffix used instead of the player prefix/suffix? Because it isn't working on my server.
I left the message format as default, and in Group Manager, I have my person set up like this

    Code:
    users:
      redyugi:
        permissions: []
        group: Admins
        info: {prefix: '<&cAll Powerful Overseer&f>', build: true, suffix: 'The Awesome'}
Because I can. However, when I talk in any chat, it only shows the group prefix/suffix of '[Admin]'/' '.

    DThielke

GroupManager doesn't support user-specific prefixes and suffixes yet. I've made the request in AnjoCaido's thread and he has confirmed that he plans on adding it, but we have to wait until then.
