    Look at the ProjectPage.

    Tag Examples (open)
    Base format: <name> message
    Channel will be "Global" to keep it simple

    no tag: [Global] <name> message

    tag '[g]': [g] <name> message

    tag 'g': g <name> message

    Using Colors:

    tag '`1g': g <name> message

    tag '`1[g]': [g] <name> message

    tag '[`1g`f]': [g] <name> message

    Using Factions:
    no tag: [faction Global] <name> message

    tag '[g][{FACTION}]': [g][faction tag here] <name> message

    "Secret" World Tag:
    tag: '{world}': [WorldNameHere] <name> message

    Q: Why does my config keep resetting?
    A: If you edit your config while the server is online, you must use /cc reload to load the new config.

    Q: Will you add group support?
    A: At this time, and probably in the future, I will NOT be adding support for groups. If you wish to make a module to simulate it in some way, please, do so.

    How is this in comparison to HeroChat? I hate to be that guy, but I have to ask. I tried mchannel... no thanks! lol

    @fffizzz : Best way to find out is to try for yourself! I'm constantly thinking of ways to enhance all my plugins. The base that I am trying to get is "The simplest, most configurable, and most supported." It has most supported, being able to be used with almost every chat plugin, and I personally believe it's simple. But I need more of a user base to give feedback!

    I'm currently sketching up a way to customize/moderate channels in game. I have a basic setup, but it'll be a bit of work until I'm completely finished. I've already fixed a bug, i believe, with "quick chat."

    I plan on adding Pail and Spout (when I figure out it's limitations) support in the future as well.

    I have used Herochat for a very long time, but since CraftIRC3 came out, it didnt support chat between IRC<->Herochat. Therefore I've been looking around for a replacement with the same basic features.
    And ChannelChat along with iChat works flawless! It gives in some perspectives more configuration-options than Herochat did, and it supports CraftIRC3. :)
    Join my server if you want to see it in action, or test it yourself.

    And even more are coming.

    BTW: All configuration options are optional. I will add that to the config sometime too.
    (EG: You could simply add a 'channel name' and it'll load perfectly, and when it saves it will have all the other options under it!)

    does this support prefixes? im using bpermissions right now, and they work through that.

    if you use a chat format plugin. (EG: bChat, iChat)

    This plugin does not format the chat.

    I don't know. I tried to make the code easier for me, and it made more bugs. :(

    As I go through the beta, I want to perfect my chat system, and will add support for other things later on. If I can perfect the system, I can add as much support as possible.

    Hey there, trying out this plugin with iChat as an alternative to HeroChat. It works pretty well but there are three features I'd like to request. One would be auto-join on channel change. Such as changing from a global channel to a staff channel, I don't want to accidentally leak sensitive info over global. My second request would be auto channel joining depending on group. EG, I could have Operators, Administrators, and Moderators auto join the staff channel while everyone below them doesn't. My third and final request would be channel tag color support, to help differentiate between channels.

    Color support is being added, I'm just patching a few more bugs before adding anything.

    Groups: I will not be adding group support. I am against groups. :p Based on Permission Nodes? Possibly. (That's how it should be anyway. You guys depend on groups too much.)

    AutoJoin - I've thought about that. Possibly a command to join&set... or something. Not sure how to go about that at the moment.

    Right now I am fixing bugs, and looking into adding a few more features. ^^

    (Already fixed Quick Chat. ^^ It now parses through PlayerChat, to format correctly. ^^)

    im using essentials chat and factions and i wanna use this will the same prefixes and factions names and colors all be in the rooms?Also to join/leave rooms do u need a certain permission?

    at the moment iw as wondering how do i make it so there is no local chat WAT SO EVER i dont want local chat just simple channel chat so channel ppl can make and leave and 1 for default that everyone joins. thanks

    @Lookatmego : You can delete channels you want, either in the console (cc delete <channel>) or through the config. (Don't forget to /cc reload)

    It's completely compatible with factions, and I don't know about essentials chat. Please give it a try. ^^

    ill try it and if it doesnt work IM GOING FOR YOUR HEAD! lol jk but ye its on atm just my players wont let me restart and i dont wanna get 45 players mad all at once xD

    ok all works good just one problem is it doesnt say the chat channel behind your name like
    [G]{FACTION}name: message
    you see what i mean?how would i fix that?

    You would need a chat format plugin for that. The only formatting I add is the channel tag at the end.

    Do they support faction tags? You'll have to ask them.

    Let me give it a test real quick to see what you mean. Alright, I got it. It's because they are overriding the format. I have messaged them.

    I'm sorry to say that Channel Chat is not compatible, nor can it be made compatible with Essentials Chat.

    That was also wrong. I will message them again. I was confused by their ridiculously ugly code. If you wish, add
    to ChannelChat's Plugin.yml
