Hi, sorry if this is the wrong spot: I couldn't find anywhere else.

I just wrote a plugin for my server. A world generator, actually. Specifically, the seamless world generator that people have been asking for for years but no one has developed.

I would REALLY like to get this on the plugin site ASAP, but I can't seem to get into BukkitDev:
    - When I try to log in with my Bukkit Forums credentials, it rejects them.
    - When I try to sign up for an account, it says my email has already been used.
    - When I put my email into the "forgot password" box, it gives me the error "initiateResetPassword Web Service method name is not valid."

Anyone know what's up? Am I missing something?

    1. The Forums and BukkitDev use different Accounts.
2.You probably already have an account them. Did you ever signup on another curse site like minecraftforums or so? Then use these credentials.
    3. That might be a bug, I will see what that means.

    Hello Rockstar,

I've submitted a ticket to the engineering team that they will get in the morning to fix this. I apologize for the inconvenience!

Thanks Zeldo, it really did seem like a bug somewhere in there, because at this point there's no way for me to submit anything...

Well, I guess I'll see you guys when the ticket gets a response. : )

Ok they have looked into the issue and have determined that it is an issue with the underlying code. We currently only have emergency IT staff on hand (the coders are off for xmas break!) so we won't be able to get this fixed in a timely manner. Your best bet right now is to recover your password on http://curse.com and it should change it for all of the websites including DevBukkit.

    Thanks,
    Zeldo

I do apologize for that, it was well before our team. I am not sure who took that bug report. This would normally be a high priority fix however since the team is on holiday (and it is still possible to reset the password via Curse.com) we have pushed it off until they return.

Sorry for a fairly old bump, but a recent IRC conversation made me wonder about this again. Has any progress been made on this yet? Or is the team still on holiday?

Unfortunately I'm a few days late but I didn't want to miss out on the chance to wish this particular bug a very happy birthday. It's been a full year since this was first reported and it still remains an issue :D

I wonder if the developers are still on vacation?

@Rashneish I believe this bug will be fixed when the modding API comes out.

You do realize that bukkit.org and dev.bukkit.org use different accounts right?

Even though above may be a user error, this bug seems to still exist, 17 months after first report.
