Cant Bind Port

    Help!!
    When i start the server say that cant bind port(25565). I have make entries for ports at router and firewall what was the problem??

    pls help

    Stop your minecraft server and make sure you have no instances running. Make sure you have your server-ip= blank (in server.properties). If that fails, reboot.

    but than was the server only local?

    If it can't bind do what saul said and if that doesn't work then something else has binded to port 25565 in which case you're going to need to find out what it is, which in most cases, will be the minecraft server, so close that and crash it.

    Then start it up again :)
     
  5. If your on a hosting company, your probably not supposed to bind to 25565, you should do whatever they tell you to do. If not, make sure you weren't accidently running a duplicate mc server or anything else on 25565 (close java in taskmanager (windows))

    here my computer data for help:
    - windows server 2008 (fresh installed)
    - 4GB Ram
    1Tb Hdd
    1 Fdd
    only downloaded bukkit

    and the port was maked open
