Bukkit, plugins, and memory

    Lately I've noticed my server has been taking up around half a gig of more RAM than what I start it with. I start it with 1536MB and I usually see it stay within 2000-2100MB. Do plugins take additional RAM? If not should I point this out to my host?

    I'm running Bigbrother(it's disabled atm)

    IConomy has a database I think so maybe that, and essentials is pretty full of features... But that's a guess.
