    Hello members of Bukkit.
I was wondering if any of you could assist me with a Bukkit server on Ubuntu.
The only things I want are instruction for what files I need such as What Java runtime stuff, OpenJDK or Oracle? Stuff like that. I have seen post about what is better: OpenJDK over Oracle's Java.
Just so you all know, I was running a server on a Windows 7 Ultimate but it ran out of space and my Co-Owner was finally convinced to switch to a Linux Distro for the server. The server will be running Ubuntu with the Xfce interface. (The interface is to simplify stuff for him.)
    Thanks in Advanced Bukkit members.

I use OpenJDK7, because I'm cool like that.

    I use Oracle cause I'm kinda old. : (

Mayor_Mike Installing either of them is fairly easy and straightforward on Linux, what exactly would you need to know?

Well, it seems easy enough. I will use OpenJDK 7. I have tried installing Oracle's Java but it failed and I have tested OpenJDK and it works fine. I guess there really isn't anything else. Thanks.
