I played around with the Metadatable, setting some metadata on a player. As long as the server keeps running it's ok, the Metadata is stored. The player can disconnect and reconnect and it's still stored. But when closing the server and starting it again, the Metadata is gone. And so I wonder, is this really the way it is supposed to be? Why is Metadata not saved when server is stopped? This part is not clear in the API docs.
