Today I uploaded a new plugin, which also happen to be a nice little tool for devs and servers. Based on the last time I uploaded a plugin (according to @MrDBO, Jul 22) the approval time was about 7 days. Today I found myself with the project being approved within 3 hours!

I have to say that its truly impressive for the approval time to go from 7 days to 3 hours! Keep up the good work Bukkit Dev Staff!

Gamecube762 My plugin file has been needing approval for 3 days, you must just be lucky.

bwfcwalshy Project approval and file approval are two completely different things.

_LB Yes but still they should still both be about the same time. I get that file approval will take a bit longer because they need to check the files but if they can approve projects in 3 hours then they can approval files in 6.

bwfcwalshy Considering that there are more files that needs approving than projects, the queue for files would be considerably larger. Projects are mostly a one time approval while files include the initial file for the project and "updated" files for older projects.

Even though my project was approved within 3 hours, my file is still waiting in the queue to be checked.

This is correct. We've had the project queue under control for the last couple of weeks, but the file queue has been undergoing a bit of backlog. However, we've managed to work through a good portion of it, and so approval times should be a bit shorter now.

This is good to hear. People have been begging me to give them illicit files for WeepingWithers because it's taking so long for the project and files to be approved. :p

We're genuinely sorry about the wait. But, thanks for abiding by policy and not providing links. It means a lot to us. :)
