Bukkit 1.3.1: Ping Timeout, reboots server

Hello,

Every 30 to 60 minutes my server crashes and reboots itself while using the Bukkit mod (RB and DB 1.3.1), even without plugins. While running vanilla minecraft there are no problems at all, so I suppose something is going wrong with Bukkit.

The serverlog doesn't show anything particular, except for a sudden huge gap in the log, followed by a Ping Timeout, Server shutting down, restarting etc. I've pinged the server as well and this has shown that everything goes well (packages of 20-40ms), followed by 1 package of 200-300ms (at this point the server has started rebooting, exactly at the same moment of the 205ms), immediately followed by normal packages again.

I've contacted my hosting provider and they tried to figure it out but said they couldn't do anything about it since it's Bukkit that's causing the server crashes. Does anyone know what to do? I can't run a server which crashes every half an hour or so.

Plugin: Infoman, same thing happens without plugins. Vanilla Minecraft runs flawlessly. I've tried Developer Build 1.3.1-R1.1 02327 as well, same result as the recommended build: ping timeout every 30-60 minutes.
Hosting provider runs Ubuntu 12.04 LTS 64bit and Java 7 64 and Multicraft.

There is an option in multicraft when your ping times out it reboots the server.

 

I am having the exact same problem on my server, Just curious. Have you fixed your issue yet, If so How? This is VERY annoying.
