I think it's protecting for tnt, but I'm getting no protection for lava, fire, water, or any of the others.

EDIT: I'm a fail. Didn't read the whole post. Great protection system!

I'm not a plugin developer (yet) but what I see on most plugins that only protect world damage from creepers is the explosion goes off, the ground has a hole, and then it's quickly replaced. Not sure how this works but I hope it's of some help.

It isn't working from console, every command I try :

I'll stick to worldguard unless it becomes possible to edit regions without going into minecraft.

can you change the command names?
i know this sounds dumb and selfish because i know how annoying it would be to back and change the command and permissions for those commands but....
    /regions conflicts with worldguard's /region
and worldguards region comes out even when i type /regions
maybe change it to /area instead of region
i like world guards blacklist and envirement controls but i like this plugins regions im stuck on what to do eeeek

I run worldguard with this plugin and get no errors on terminal or no obvious command conflicts between regions and worldguard. BUT for some reason it will not allow me to /regions whitelistremove <region> <player> when I go to use it nothing appears the command was succesfully carried out. Also when I create a region then protect that region and add one of my Moderators to the regions whitelist to be able to do as he pleases in that specified region it does not allow him to build like it should. The Set welcome/leave msgs work along with the show welcome/leave msgs, allows me to create regions as well as modify them, only seems like it a very specific part of the plugin not working. I use GroupManager instead of Permissions but do not see this being the problem since most of the plugin works as it should through my GroupManager configuration and regions configuration. Please help :)

..... my gosh man i love you (no homo) i have been looking for a simple area protection mod that dosent make you have to do all this complicated stuff. When you protect a region though does it get protected from build limit to bedrock??

WorldGuard conflicts with this plugin in a few ways. Mainly, several commands starting with /regions from Regions are also used by WorldGuard. Until the main command is changed you may have to choose one or the other and get something else to make up for WorldGuard's extra functionality.

Good work on the plugin!! Any chance of adding PvP enable/disable per region? :)

This may seem stupid, indeed it sounds stupid but its early so bare with me.

When i set point 1 and point 2, what do i do next? I cant see /regions create?? command.

It may be staring right at me but i am half asleep.

Ok after caffeine intake, it seems i figured it out.

    /regions Create <name>

Perhaps add that to the command list above

ps been testing it Out, very Good plugin
  12. I'll have a look into getting it working inside the console.
I'm considering a slight name change but to be honest there's not much difference in both plugin, world guard has slightly more advanced protection at the minute and mine has better customisation, I'd advise you to use one or another because soon enough I'll catch up with world guard :p
I've done quite a lot of testing and never ran into that problem, I guess I'll have to test more rigourously then :p Thanks for the report, I'll try to sort it.

Not by default but there is a command to do that: /regions expandmax <regionname>

That's one of the planned updates :D
Oh dear! I didn't add most important command to the list :p It's in game help anyway but thanks, I'll add it in.

ok i guess i need some more coffe, i realised what i di, when u close the chat bar only shows certain mount of lines, it cut the top of lol :p
  16. I found a slight issue with having subregions within other regions, I'm trying to get that working as it should now.

In the mean time it would be useful to have access to both "/reg" and "/regions".

I'm guessing you're not going to go open source as you didn't answer that part of my question before? Unless you're planning on selling the plugin, I don't see the point in staying closed-source.

    • You're not signing away your ownership by doing it.
    • You'll get updates and bug fixes made by the community, saving you time.
    • You will be helping new developers with their own plugins.

If you use Github it's very easy to control. If you don't know Git, learn it.

request: lets make permissions from other plugins settable into zones. so only players in zone "postal office" can use "/mail read" in example. that would be awesome, area related commands.

Cool...cant wait for the update then!! :D
  20. Might add in the feature to disable certain commands inside areas.
I tired to use git but couldn't get the hang of it.
As for helping new develops with their plugins I already do Lots of that. I will make it open source when I choose.

Git isn't the most simple thing in the world but it's well worth knowing. I learned it from TekPub which offer a complete course for $15.

I don't doubt you will, I am just trying to hurry the process. I'm interested in assisting you.
  22. Sorry I'm not paying any money for that, I'm only 16 :p
As for the source I'll consider releasing it when I have completed the plugin in the main. With fully fledged features including PvP regions etc...

if i disable wg and let my world to anarchy use regions and protect them set them how i want i can reenable wg and goto backup and regions are there with welcome message. this can do for now but MAYBE you could in the future add a world blacklist and config like wg
but i can try some other methods of using regions and wg without cmnd conflicts someone posted they were havong no conflicts maybe it depends on witch plugin is added sooner wg or regions when i get home later
    very nice plugin btw

    sent from iphone4
  24. Thanks but could you try to read your message before sending. I have absolutely no-idea what your suggesting, if anything.

    sorry its just today

  26. :p just try to explain clearly what your suggestion is.

    let me try again
if i disable worldguard and leave regions enabled i can set regions(using your plugin)
then goto a world backup(because when i disabled worldguard my firespread was on) then reenable worldguard with regions and it shows the welcome message when i enter an area and people cant do anything in the protected regions.

so i can do that for now
hope that made sense this time sorry about that other post
  28. Still unsure but players won't be able to build in regions unless they are on the whitelist, I'm working on the feature of subregions now

can you make possible to use this with worldguard together ?
  30. I've just released version 1.5 which fixed that, give me a minute to re-format the thread
