AuthDb 2.2.0

 

v2.2.0 doesn't work with 1060 yet. It's fixed in v2.3.0 dev builds. The final v2.3.0 should be out soon hopefully.

I guess downgrade to CB 1000 or wait for an updated build of AuthDB then. We're trying to get it out ASAP.

Hi. Ive been searching endlessley for some help. Ive installed this and have got it working. I then installed Permissions so i can use my mcmmo commands and looking for some help setting up authdb for permissions. Im quite new at the minecraft server hosting area and so far so good. Just got to overcome this issue. Any help will be greatful.

 

AuthDB v2.2.0 doesn't have any permissions support right now. AuthDB v2.3.0 dev builds do, but it hasn't been tested much yet. It will all be working in v2.3.0 final.

If you guys could fix it, myself and my server players would be very grateful as this error floods the console so bad it throws outOfMemory exception or starts lagging like crazy

I am running CraftBukkit RB #1060 alongside AuthDB v2.2.0.

 

RB 1060 isn't supported yet. It's been fixed in v2.3.0 dev builds, but I wouldn't recommend using them.
Downgrade to CB 1000 or under build 1032 if you can't wait.

I'm having problems with the dev-version. It doesnt allow me to login, no messages or anything. Just says "Type password" and when I does nothing happens. This is only when I try to run it with PermissionsBukkit. Without permissionsbukkit everything works fine. Is there any permissions I've missed? I tried login with adminaccount that have all permissions but still cant get further than the Enter Password... :S

because I don't want that people use the command /register in the game, I want that they register on the forum and then /login in the game.
The problem is that a person was able to /register and then /login in game, without being registered on the forum
Did I set something in the config file wrong?

 

No, that should prevent them from being able to register in-game. Are you sure they didn't register on your forums?

100% sure, I only have 12 users in the forum and there's nobody with the username he used in the game. I also checked the non-active users and he wasn't even there. I'm using phpBB3 by the way.
Here's the player's log before he logged in, maybe it could help you:

and then he was just able to chat, go around, do everything like a normal user, I double checked everything because that was so weird but couldn't find how he did that.

2.3 will have a feature to disable to login system entirely correct? I only see options for "prompt" and something else as the only viable options in the dev build currently

What error? You should set a password. There are plenty of tutorials on the web that show you how to manage MySQL.

You didn't give me an error so I didn't know what was wrong.

That name is under database, so it's your database name. http://www.google.com/search?q=mysql+create+database

The prefix is the prefix of the table you are trying to connect to. This only applies if you are using a script that we support. For a custom table, you would use the options under customdb.

You're probably better off just using a hosted MySQL provider if you don't want to learn how to set it up. I can't do it all for you.
