   You know how in command blocks you can use @e @a @r @p? Well, Exactly that... But executed in chat.. By ops, of course.

   For commands, it would just be like using @a, but in chat commands. not command blocks.

   @p Targets the nearest player
   @r Targets a random player
   @a Targets all players
   @e Targets all entities
   @s Targets the entity that is executing the command (referred to as "yourself")
   
   and so like if I want to kill everyone, /kill @a
   or if I want to smite the nearest player, /smite @p
   or op a random player, /op @r or smite all entities, /smite @e, or heal myself, /heal @s.
