Hey there; for those of you that know me, you'll know that I am fairly active on the forums/IRC and have been doing volunteer work as BukkitDev Staff. I've loved every single second at Bukkit: it's how I got into development two years ago; it's how I met many, many awesome people; it's how I spent probably too many hours to be healthy of my life having fun on forums and IRC. Since starting at the forums, I requested a few plugins and then started to develop myself and try to help others in the process. I mainly contributed to the Plugin Requests and Plugin Development forums and I suspect that it is much more likely that you know me from there than any of my initial poor quality plugins I found myself having fun working to improve my own development skills and other's in the process. This is why I was delighted when my application for BukkitDev Staff was accepted and I was invited to help give back to the community that had so kindly accepted me, even for my flaws (sorry for all the initial double posts guys ). Since then, I have been working with not just the BukkitDev Staff - a team of awesome individuals of the like that I've never worked with before - but the rest of the hard-working staff and the loving community as a whole. Sadly, all good times must come to an end. In my personal opinion, despite many good decisions from the Bukkit Team, it is my personal view that the project does not seem to be as community-lead recently due to its apparent revealed ownership. Other staff members have summarised why this is, far better than I have. In light of this, and due to me needing to dedicate more time to real life affairs, I am resigning. Now, I will not thank anybody in particular in names or tagging, as I know that I would accidentally leave people out who I deeply care about and would not wish to upset anyone. So, instead, I thank all of those who helped me out when I first joined the forum, all of those who helped me improve when I started to get better, all of those in Staff positions who make the project as wonderful it can be and finally everybody active in IRC and the forums who make the place an excellent environment for learning and having fun; you all know who you are. <3 And with that, I say "Adios amigos!" and resign, as I have enjoyed the glory days of Bukkit and now, as it as a project and many of the staff turn in a new direction, I would like to seek new shores. All views and description of events expressed in this post are of my own and do not necessarily reflect that of the Bukkit Project.
