I haven't actually written a (decent looking) biome generator yet, because of school. If I were you, I would use a separate noise generator (voronoi cell noise + perlin to add variety to the edges perhaps?) to generate
a "probability" biome field, where it's value specifies the "biomeness" of that section. Use that to determine how much weight each of a few separate noise generator gets to affect the terrain. I am getting off school in roughly 3 weeks, I would love to work on this with you then :P
