hmm.. if interaction like that is client-side, how is the server aware of the wolf's health? does the client simply send the appropriate health value back to the server after feeding?

yeah :p basically: adding stuff is client-sided, changing current stuff isn't.

well, if/when wolves get better implementation, i'll go in with you on a project. I'm relearning java at the moment; it's been about three years since my last go with it. in the mean time, i'll throw any better ideas I can your way.

nice! how far are you in learning/recalling java?

I'm pretty much there, I just need a project to tie up the loose ends. looks like there's some interesting wolf API in the works :)
