Try getting an intel. They're better on Single threaded programs. I would get a quad core.
You should this determine for yourself, but I'd take a laptop with at least 500GB HDD (most laptops have different versions with different HDDs)

I'm trying to find a good laptop, but I'm not really good at finding good laptops with good prices. I'm kind of a noob at finding laptops as most of the words confuse me...
Could you maybe please give me a link to one laptop?

seems goog, but look at the processor:
AMD A6-3420M 1.5GHz
If you run a single threaded application, it will have the same performance as if it would be running on a single core 1.5Ghz processor. Try to get 2 Ghz and an intel processor. Intel performs better for singlethreaded applications.
