They are an old hosting company, a good one too.

Okay, I just spent an hour uninstalling plugins and reinstalling them one by one, doing massive worldedits at the same time to check the lag spikes, and I may have found the culprit (rolling minecarts...)

Hopefully that will have fixed it! If not, I'll move to Beast Node.

To be REALLY honest, first time i entered this thread, i was gonna suggest to uninstall that plugin ;) I've seen many people with a similar problem using different minecart plugins.

My BF is going to be really upset, it's powering his amusement park... i don't know how he's going to do it now. :(

If you think your animal spawns are an issue you might want to use Mobs instead of NoLagg to control the spawn rates because you can control natural spawns with it, i belive it doesn't do livestock kills like nolagg.

for nolagg i really only use it for the entity buffering because im using a bukkit server with ported version of BuildCraft/IndustrialCraft/RedPower, however it looks like it doesn't work with entities in pipes/tubes.

Really what i have noticed is McMyAdmin might be the prime cause of lag on my server, especially since bukkit is only semi supported.

Interesting. My host uses Multicraft, which isn't bad at all, but i have no idea what kind of lag it could cause. Since we deleted the minecart plugin this morning there seems to be no lag; but it's hard to say with only 2 players on ;)

Thanks a lot for recommending Mobs; I may do that, it seems much smarter than NoLagg for mob control. I remember on that previous server, painstakingly gathering cattle, dyeing sheep, and two days later, having to start over. REALLY annoying!

    Cheers :)
