Hi guys, I recently made a bukkit 1.1 server for my and my friends and it worked find until I tried to install some mods and it crashed. So I re-installed it, exactly the same way, port forwarded again and everything, but the server only seems to work for me. Ill start it up, and my minecraft will connect to it fine, but my friends will get 'cant reach server', even people who are in the same house as me using the same router! I have tried disabling my firewall, opening the port 25565 in firewall, getting rid of plugins, and restarting my computer, but it still doesn't work! The ip address I forwarded is the ipv4 (I think thats right, its something like that) that I found in my cmd and I port forwarded that on my virgin router. My friends and I have tried with and without 25565 at the end, but both time I can connect and they cannot. There is no whitelist in place either. Please help me fix my problem.

    Thanks guys
    Tom

(p.s. If you need any additional info, even if its a print screen or something, just ask :)

    You dont have an IP...
to obtain your IP press the windows flag and R. type in CMD. then in the console type in ipconfig (no space) and look for your IPv4. should look something like "192.168.0.0" type that number into your "Server-ip=" properties.

assuming you are on the same network as your server you will connect to your IPv4 address and everyone not on your network will connect to your actual IP address. you can get your actual IP from "www.whatsmyip.org"

So my properties file will have my ipv4 but my friends will use my actual ip?

You don't need to type in anything for server-ip. It'll automaticly find your local ip.

After checking your initial post a second time, i noticed that you said you port forwarded your IPv4 number. You are supposed to port foward your local ip. Use edpon's method to determine your local ip.
