I'm not really a plugin dev, but I had this great idea. Many people don't want new users leaving spawn until they have read the rules and are promoted to the next rank.. so I thought, maybe someone should make a plugin that strikes a person with tons of lightning until they die and are sent back to spawn (A world guard region could be set or something) if they leave the spawn region and it says something like "Please read all rules"

If there is already a plugin like this, let me know please

 

i personally just made a test
it gets rid of most griefers (because most griefers are lazy)
griefers are usually after servers that they dont have to spend their time at spawn
it works for me!

well the spawn protection is 150 blocks :/
you idea is a good one, but i believe (not positive) that it would be easier to have it strike lightning at the end of spawn protection

 

A little more pragmatic would be to use the WorldGuard region exit flag and adding people to a member group once they've read the rules or whatever your "test" is.

 

So it would make it once they have said the keyword and promoted to the member group (Using RankUp), they would no longer be restricted?
