Plugin category: Records Suggested name: Personal Recipe Book A bit about me: I'm making a private server for myself and a few friends. What I want: I'd like a book that keeps track of, and displays, each individual recipe you have discovered with your player. Each players recipe book would look different, as they discover recipes at different times, and then you could compare what you have found with other players, and share if you'd like. Ideas for commands: No commands needed for this plugin. Ideas for permissions: No permissions are needed for this plugin, at least, that I can think of. When I'd like it by: It's just a convenience item/tool, no ETA needed. NOTE: I have searched a bit, but didn't find anything similar, if you know of something like this that has already been created, please post a link or name so that I can get/find it myself. TY.
Anything is possible, just probably rather hard, or you arn't thinking of a good method. I'm not trying to be rude, or say you suck, but in my experience, so long as you are willing to dig, there is always a method to achieve something. I'd try myself, but I'm not familiar with MC formatting, and I don't particularly want to spend a month familiarizing myself with it for 1 item. :/ Unless JAVA, or the way MC is coded, is just completly weird... my experience is C# RunUO (Ultima Online P Servers). If, compared to C#, it really is impossible, I apologise and you may rub it in my face.
What Jaxkr wanted to say is: There's no way for the minecraft server to make a new item (the book) and/or paint a GUI on/to the client. So this is impossible without a client mod (spoutcraft).
