Need Help Making a Bukkit Server

My freinds and I have our own server and want to have one with plugins and other things on it. How do we do this? Do we have to portforward again? Or what? We dont want to totally delete our old server if it possible. Please note that im not the best with computers. Thanks for your help.

 

Basically all you have to do is download craftbukkit.jar, put it in the same folder as your minecraft.jar, then change minecraft.jar to craftbukkit.jar in what ever script you use to start your server. Other than they you leave everything else the same. If you need a more detailed explanation on anything just ask.

ok just to be sure, i download the craftbukkit.jar i got that. then i open up my minecraft .jar (with winrar im assuming) and just put the craft bukkit.jar in there? thats it?

that would be great but i want to learn how to actually do all this stuff for myself so maybe i can it later. if you have any advice it will be greatly appreciated.

No, you delete minecraft.jar. You don't need it any more.

i need help too i am not good at minecraft stuff because i joined a month ago i have a vanilla server and have spent hours on it and want it bukkit can anyone help me fyi it is hamachi

 

First: Make it non-hamachi. Because hamachi sux. Then, just start a bukkit server (lots and lots of tutorials out there), and copy the world over. (just copy, like Ctrl + C)

 

i dont know how and i can never figure out the wlkthroughs for it
