    Multiverse 2 - World Creation/Management/Teleportation & More
    Current Version: 2.2-AB

    Description
Multiverse 2 is a ground up rewrite of the popular Multiverse plugin for CraftBukkit. There are many new features, the biggest one being the much better usability and cleaner code! MV2 has been in the works for over 2 months and given the size of it, the developers are confident that you'll find a small bug or two. Please come into our IRC channel and discuss politely with us and we'll get it resolved quick-fastly!

Looking for the old version that runs on CraftBukkit 1000? We don't have it anymore :( Here's an archive of the old help post. If you're a new user, we REALLY recommend using Multiverse 2..

    • iConomy, BOSEconomy, RealEcon, Essentials Econ and Item economy support!
    • Show which users are in what worlds
    • Create portals to let users go between worlds

    • Fixed a bug with new Portals
    • Updated for iConomy 5 (You will need to update to iCo 5)
    • Improved the PVP Setup
      • Now you no longer have to set the server.properties PVP variable to true... this is now completely done via the worlds config and properly stops PVP rather than preventing the damage from being applied.
    Version 1.6.3

    • Update for Minecraft 1.5 and CraftBukkit build 733
    Version 1.6.2

    • Contains updates/features which were introduced in 1.5
Version 1.6 - Thanks to 'fernferret'

    • Updated for CB Builds 600+
    Version 1.5 - Permissions 2.1+ - (V1.5 - 02/03/2011)[/U]

    • Fixed whitelist/blacklisting once and for all :), thanks to @ledhead900
    • Add permission node 'multiverse.portal.exempt' -- Basically means they don't have to pay the cost of the portal... this is useful for Donors and such.
    • Updated to use iConomy 4.1 -- Would be great if I can get feedback on this... as usual I can only test solo.
    Version 1.4 - Permissions 2.0 & 2.1 - (V1.4 - 26/02/2011 - 01:11 AM GMT)

    • Should be easier on high pop servers now
      • Only checks if a player is within a Portal everytime he changes BLOCK Coordinate instead of every single pixel footstep he/she takes.
    • Now Supports Permissions 2.1 -- Both 2.1 and 2.0 support have seperate JARs, so get the right one.
      • Also commands are properly disabled when a Permissions plugin is not found and it will alert the player trying to use the Command.
    Version 1.3 - Permissions 2.0 - (V1.3 - 24/02/2011 - 02:31 AM GMT)

    • Removed the 'Stupidly Long Constructor'
    • Fixed an error which was loading portals that were on a non existent world which caused errors later on.
    Version 1.2.2 - (V1.2.2 - 23/02/2011 - 03:05 AM GMT)

    • Nothing much just updated so it works with Minecraft Beta 1.3, I suggest you don't use a lower Multiverse build than v1.2.2 otherwise it won't work and errors will occur.
    Version 1.2.1 - (V1.2.1 - 20/02/2011 - 23:35 PM GMT)

    • Changed over to the new Entity Damage...

Any thoughts on being able to create environments that are only a certain biome? Like mvcreate desert desert. I am sure someone suggested this already but I was lazy and didn't look through 42 pages.

I'm using Permissions 2.1, so multiple files with the exact same format should be used for multi-world permissions?

Hello, I have a question for Rigby90 or anyone that can answer me... I have Permissions 2.1 installed correctly along w/ multiverse ( for 2.1) I have TRIED to type in the permissions world.yml file and enable the permissions but i just can't get it right. Here is what my Permissions file looks like: Do i have the permissions right? it only lets me create and remove a world, but nothing else(says i dont have the rights to)... help would be appreciated, or on exactly what i should type into this file!!

Well apparently in the default world alot of the permissions work, however whenever i try to import an pre-existing world it says not enough parameters, and what do you mean import the world for ther SP like version?

I was just wondering how much more work does the server have to do if there are two worlds at once with players in each?

  17. Works perfectly on bukkit#440 and permissions#2.4

Edit : Thank you very much :)

For anyone who upgraded their permissions and is getting "You do not have the rights to access this command" or "You lack sufficient permissions to do that" remember to rename your config.yml file to your world folder's name. I changed mine to world.yml. Hope it helps!

I dunno if this is what I mean.
High - Code CleanUp + Sleep
    But i got an idea.

Could u add a Backupper in your plugin, and with a ingame command to backup a world,
And to reload the world than of course :)
Because i've created an Arena, but i need to restart the server when i want to reload the map.
If u could add that, then it it just really awesome!

he soon wants to split the plugin into two parts. maybe he make a new backup plugin but i dont know if he implements it into one...

    Brennan Mathers

also, to have rights in the other worlds and not get trapped, (some say you can put the world names in coppies but this didnt work for me) you must make copies of the permissions and rename one for each world

hmm slightly confused by what you want... Lemmie see if I get it -

You have an Arena world which you want to LOAD but not SAVE to... as this world will get damaged and need reloading...
Once the 'battle' or w/e is over... you want to RELOAD the World back to its original point?

If so then ermm.... first of all preventing saves will clog memory... and you'd just want to reload chunks in instead of saving... not sure if it's possible but I can take a look...

There's no way to backup the folder then reinstall it because atm you CANT unload a world... so YOU CANT for instance backup the world folder.... play an arena match.... unload world.... reload backup....
    --- merged: Feb 27, 2011 7:34 PM ---
hmm, can you pastebin the error that the server has in its log.

How did you create the worlds btw? Through the game or manually in the config?
    --- merged: Feb 27, 2011 7:35 PM ---
Yeh I need to refine the SinglePlayer styled portals etc... also the world generation is still done by Minecraft and not the plugin... so if theres a lack of lakes blame Notch :p
    --- merged: Feb 27, 2011 7:36 PM ---
Will look into it however the chances are that because thats a dedicated Chat plugin it is overwriting the formatting that my plugin introduces for the World Aliases.
    --- merged: Feb 27, 2011 7:36 PM ---
I need more information, can you pastebin.com your server.log and type the EXACT command you used?

Is it possible to allow PvP in one map, but not allow it in another?

I have a situation where I want PvP to be disabled on the normal map, but allowed in the nether map.

  28. Offline

    Rigby90

    • Per World PVP - Read on to find out how...
      • In order to get PVP per world, you need to turn PVP on within 'server.properties', then within the 'worlds.yml' file you disable it individually per world - This is a quick workaround till it is implemented via CraftBukkit.

When going from my main world to my second world there isn't any problem. But when I try to go back to my main world using "/mvtp (worldname)" I get "An internal error occurred while attempting to perform this command." Could it just be that my permissions isn't set up correctly?

This is what shows up on my server log.

    EDIT:Using Permissions 2.1

Ok for you it seems like you have a Permissions config error, lots of errors to do with YAML formatting on start...

As well as that you only have one world loading up via MultiVerse and that is 'world', if you have a world called 'epic' then it's not being loaded via MultiVerse but by another plugin, if epic is a portal then try "/mvtp p:epic"
    --- merged: Feb 27, 2011 8:34 PM ---
Same as xxMatthewo really... Chances are the worlds not setup in MultiVerse, can you pastebin your worlds.yml?
