My question is how much cpu do mobs require. I understand some mobs are more cpu intensive than others however. I would like to know if say 1000 mobs are spawned in the world, and only 10 are near players. Would it process the remaining 990 (even though their not near players) Is this done on the main thread. Are there any plugins that put this in another thread? Is there a way to stop mobs that aren't close to players from being processed?
I'm pretty sure that it would not process the remaining amount. If there are no players to request chunks, mobs won't be requested either I would think.
